A freestanding transparent metallic network electrode loaded with MnO2 by electrochemical deposition is designed, fabricated and integrated for ultrathin, foldable and designable supercapacitor devices, exhibiting ideal electrochemical properties. This technique is fully compatible with industrial manufacturing, and offers a paradigm for developing wearable energy storage devices and systems.
